Where would be a safe place to purchase Guinea pigs in Northern Nevada near Lyon County?

I want to purchase two female Guinea pigs (I have a 7.6 Sq ft enclosure) I have looked on google for breeders, and there are none in the surrounding area, and the animal shelter did not have any listed. When I was at Petco, the handler was restocking the rat display, and was putting the rat in there by their tails, which can harm them. Would Petsmart be a better place to receive young, healthy Guinea Pig Sows?
