Going to France, anything I should see?

Depending on your dates in Paris, you should try to experience the street markets. The bird market on Sundays on the Ile de la Cite/Place Louis-Lepine, the pedestrian rue Moufettard, Place d'Aligre in the 11th, are all great places to see real daily Parisian lives being lived. If there is time for a day trip to Reims to the Piper Heidseick champagne cave, really try to fit that in. It is a bit of a drive out of town, but is worth it. Lunch at the Cafe du Palais afterwards. Stop at one of the motorway rest stops-one of the newer ones-just to see how the French do pit stops. Montmartre for the view and the people watching. Learn to say 'no' before you go up there. The modest chapel on the side of Sacre Coeur off the Place du Tertre is lovely in its simplicity.
